WALKING THE PATH

I am a practising artist and teacher and have a wide range of experience in the healing arts. I have a great love of the natural world and I like to share this passion through my paintings and walking tours to sacred places

After a 20 year career in secondary arts education, running an art department and arts faculty in Bristol, I decided to focus on my own art and private classes. The South West has proved to be the ideal place for me to continue exploring my creativity. My love of all creatures great and small and the Devonshire landscape provides a constant source of inspiration for my work.

As an artist I have found that the creative process has also been beneficial to my own health and wellbeing. As a teacher I work holistically and share this process at my painting and drawing classes, workshops and retreats, nurturing like minded people who want to develop their own creative process.

My work is made using a wide range of media and techniques as I like to experiment. This includes working in oil, acrylic, watercolour, pastel, cyanotype printing and batik collage. Indeed, mixed media is a favourite. I also enjoy working with fabrics, particularly

re-cycling clothes and textiles to create contemporary rag rugs.
